Shipping Policy

** Shipping is out of our control, we cannot accept any returns, exchanges or offer any refunds due to shipping delays. Please order early **

Our photo backdrops are made-to-order, based on the design, size and material chosen by the customer. Our processing time varies, depending on the material and volume of orders. If you need your order Rush Processed, please add this listing to your cart here. This does NOT include the shipping time. Shipping time varies based on delivery location and shipping method chosen during check out.

For your convenience, we offer a variety of shipping options through UPS and USPS. Standard/Ground shipping is typically 2-7 business days. USPS Priority Mail 2-Day or 3-Day puts your package as a priority, and is typically delivered within that time frame, but 2 or 3 day delivery is not guaranteed and is non-refundable per USPS. Shipping Substitutions: We try hard to get our shipping as accurate as possible but it is not always correct. If the amount paid by the customer does not cover the shipping option selected, another method will be chosen. For example, if a customer selects UPS 2 Day but the cost to purchase the shipping label is more than the amount paid by the customer, we'll select UPS 3 Day instead of invoicing the difference, so that the order is not put on hold and delayed.  

International Shipping: Most of our packages ship DHL, even if UPS is selected. The discounted shipping price that you are seeing is DHL rates but Shopify does not accurately display our discounted DHL rates, so it shows UPS, but the price has been adjusted to reflect discounted DHL rates. 

UPS 2nd Day & Next Day Air Saver - UPS does not consider Saturday a business day for 2nd Day Air or Next Day Air Saver. There are additional charges for Saturday delivery. Please contact us prior to placing your order if you need a Saturday delivery. 

We try our hardest to process orders very quickly, but shipping time is out of our control. HSD Backdrops is not responsible for delayed shipping and will not refund orders or shipping if your delivery does not arrive when expected. Please do not schedule your shoot based on the estimated arrival date on the tracking page as this date is not always correct. Estimated delivery date through UPS and USPS are only an estimate and your package is not guaranteed to arrive on that date. Please note: priority shipping does not speed up the processing time. When selecting your shipping option please keep in mind that there is a processing time before your order is shipped. Once your order has shipped, you will receive a shipping confirmation which includes a tracking number so that you can track the status of your package.  Please be sure to have your package shipped to a secure location. HSD Backdrops is not responsible for stolen packages.

*UPS does not deliver to P.O. Boxes. If selecting UPS please do not use a P.O. Box.

Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, and some other locations may be billed for additional shipping costs for backdrops 6' x 8' or larger. 

International customers, please note that your order total does NOT include any customs fees or duties. These fees are the responsibility of the buyer and are not included in your shipping total. If a package is refused, the customer will be charged the customs fees, duties and a return fee. No refunds will be issued for the order or shipping. 

*Our packages sometimes ship from separate locations or there are shipping price increases after an order has been placed. If the shipping amount paid does not cover the shipping method chosen by the customer, another shipping method will be chosen at our discretion. We will select a different shipping method instead of sending an invoice for the difference because sending invoices causes delays in processing time.

Q: My backdrop arrived damaged. What can I do?

A: If you receive a damaged product YOU MUST CONTACT US WITHIN 48 HOURS OF RECEIPT. We will need photos of the damage to the shipping tube and damage to the backdrop. These photos are required for us to file a claim. After we have received the photos of the damage we will provide you with instructions on to proceed. 

Q: My package appears to be lost. What can I do? 

A: If your package does not arrive within 14 days from the date that it shipped, please reach out to us. It is most likely just delayed but we can file a missing package search after 14 days (for U.S. orders). International orders, we can file a missing package claim after 20+ days. Replacement backdrops will not be shipped until after a missing package claim has been filed and we have received a response from the shipping carrier (a minimum of 20 days from the date that it shipped for U.S. orders; 25 days for packages going to Canada; 35 days for all other countries).
